History is one of the areas of responsibility with which the Curriculum Officer for Modern Studies, is  charged. This however, in no way diminishes the passion for our students being consistently exposed to accurate and meaningful historical content. The Curriculum Officer for Modern Studies, works assiduously to stem the tide of attrition regarding the delivery of History in our schools. 

The schools offering History, continue to see improved results at both the CSEC and CAPE levels. This is in part, due to a greater focus on the affective domain in the implementation of the curriculum. Additionally, every opportunity is used to bring history alive for our students through events/celebrations such as Tobago Day and the Tobago Heritage Festival.
