QUICK FACTS ABOUT Caribbean Studies in Practice: A Guided Workbook into Caribbean Society, Culture and Development by Meera Moniquette.

What is Caribbean Studies in Practice you may ask? Well, Caribbean Studies in Practice is a workbook filled of activities and past paper essay questions designed to prepare you for the CAPE Caribbean Studies exam.

Who was it designed for you may wonder? Caribbean Studies in Practice was specifically created for CAPE students, who having completed the CSEC examinations are now given the challenging task of reading and writing at the standard of first year tertiary students. Moreover, this workbook is geared towards CAPE students who are required to prepare for a compulsory subject that is arguably extensive in terms of its content and objectives.

How was Caribbean Studies in Practice written? Caribbean Studies in Practice was written by a secondary school teacher who after a decade of teaching the subject made a number of observations regarding the difficulties students are facing with this compulsory subject. • Each chapter then continues with notes on the particular topic accompanied by short-answer questions and CAPE past paper essay planning activities.
  • The third section of the workbook covers Module III, providing guidelines for writing the Internal Assessment (IA).
